Help Raise and Graduate Dog Guides for Those that Need Them

Raise a puppy, change a life!
Provide a home and help socialize a puppy, teaching them house manners and basic obedience in preparation for formal training as a Dog Guide.

Day School Program
Provide a Dog Guide in training a break from school. Volunteers would bring the dog back and forth to our training facility Monday-Friday, and provide housing for the dog each weekend.

Dog Sitters
Look after future Dog Guide puppies and Dog Guides in training for short term periods.

Transitional Home Program
Volunteer to help us prepare Diabetes Alert Dog Guides.
Volunteer to Assist with Dog Guides’ Events

Delta Bingo
Delta Bingo & Gaming Oakville generously supports LFCDG as a monthly charity to donate proceeds to. Every month, they hold special games where LFCDG volunteers are invited to help and raise awareness for Dog Guides.

On-site Volunteer Opportunities

Graphic designer volunteer
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to support our Resource Development Team. Your designs will help us engage donors, promote events, and spread awareness about our mission. You will work closely with our fundraising team to ensure all materials align with our branding and help further our mission of providing Dog Guides to Canadians in need.

Reception Coverage volunteer
To assist LFCDG with reception duties and manage our front desk on a daily basis during lunch time hours.

Community Partnerships volunteer
To assist the Manager, Community Partnerships with administration, donor relations, and other support

Client Care Volunteer
Client Care Volunteers play a vital role in supporting clients during their time at the training center or during events. This role involves assisting with basic needs, keeping track of dietary needs, and ensuring clients feel comfortable and supported. Volunteers also contribute to maintaining an organized and welcoming space. Our LFCDG team provides a range of support to individuals who are accepted as a client and attend our training facility for a period of 7-14 days.
