- New Will PowerTM Launches
-
We have partnered with Will Power, a national movement to educate Canadians on the power of making a difference through their Wills. A small percentage of your estate left to LFCDG can have a big impact, while still leaving the majority for loved ones. No matter the size of your estate, you can be a part of this powerful movement for change. Read more on our Will Power page.

905-842-2891 Ext. 223 - Bequest in Your Will
-
Remembering Lions Foundation of Canada in your will is a generous act and surprisingly simple, while transforming lives in years to come. You can add an amendment to your existing will and specify an amount or a portion of cash, property or securities to be donated to Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. You can also choose to leave a residuary bequest which is the amount remaining in your estate after all specific and general gifts are given. Your lawyer can draft your will or add a codicil.
The legal name to include in your will is “Lions Foundation of Canada”.
Please let us know of your bequest and wishes and of course, we will respect your privacy.
- Securities (Company Shares)
-
If you have public company shares that have increased in value, there are several tax advantages to transferring the actual appreciated shares as a donation, now or in the future. To choose this option, please visit securities.
- Donor Advised Funds at a Community Foundation or Bank
-
A fund held at a Community Foundation or bank has become quite popular. You can have your own "foundation" without the administrative burden of a private foundation.
- Charitable Gift Annuities
-
A gift annuity guarantees payments to you for your lifetime, some of which can be tax-free. The portion of the sum you contribute is a gift that will immediately support Dog Guide programs.
- Charitable Trust
-
A charitable trust allows you to retain the income of current investments while making a gift to Lions Foundation of Canada in the future.
- Designating a RRSP or TFSA
-
If you own a RRSP or Tax Free Savings Account, you can choose to designate Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides as the beneficiary.
- Donating or Transferring Life Insurance
-
A gift of life insurance allows you to make a large gift in the future by making smaller tax-receiptable premium payments now.
- Endowment Fund
-
An endowment fund is an excellent way to make your gift last well into the future. For gifts of $10,000 or more, an endowment can be established in your name. The interest generated annually from the investment is used to support Dog Guide programs.
- Memorial Gifts
-
You can honour the life of a loved one through a donation, of any kind. There is also a Pet Memorial Wall to commemorate a beloved pet. Click here to memorial link.
The legal name is Lions Foundation of Canada of Canada Dog Guides and the CRA Business # is 13024 5129 RR0001
